I have an exciting opportunity to share with you all today.

International best-selling author Ellen Alpsten is hosting a Historical Fiction Writing Retreat in Provence, France, this September.

Author of the incredible Tsarina series published by Bloomsbury, Ellen will be joined by editors and agents and... me!

I am thrilled to announce that I will be a guest presenter at the retreat and running a day of workshops to support writers to realise their dream of publishing a historical fiction novel.

Drawing on my experience as an author, from that first manuscript to signing a four-novel contract with the exciting UK-based Publisher Storm Publishing, I will be sharing what I have learned about planning, researching, plotting, writing with pace and emotion, and how to stand out to editors and agents.

With a focus on practical steps and actions, I am excited to share my journey and what I have learned throughout this process with the retreat. As well as taking some time away for my own writing in the beautiful surroundings of Provence.

The retreat will run from 21.09 - 27.09.2025 at the beautiful Chateau Du Jonquier

Price includes all presentations and workshops, as well as room and full board.

Contact me or Ellen for further details.

I hope to see you in France!
